WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? 
This is a great course for those who would like to learn how to make professional bespoke handmade lined curtains, through discussion, demonstration, making samples and completing a pair of full sized lined curtains to fit your window. Folder, fabric and notions for samples will be supplied but learners will need to buy their own fabrics and notions for the full size curtains

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
  • Measuring a window for curtains
  • Calculating fabric requirements
  • Cutting out fabric and linings
  • Pattern matching fabrics
  • Complete a set of full size lined curtains with a tape heading
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

City & Guilds qualifications are recognized for their high level practical skills and are for professional and hobby sewers alike.  There will not be an exam to sit You will be continually assessed by your tutor throughout the course where you will receive verbal and written feedback You will be required to submit your coursework on completion of the course for assessment by the tutor, Internal Quality Assessor and External Quality Assessor after which you will be awarded either a Pass, Merit or Distinction.

If you can`t make one of the sessions I can be flexible and there would be an opportunity to make up the hours on a different day, just let me know.
This course is for complete beginners or those that want to improve on their existing skills
On completion of this course you would have the necessary skills to make curtains independently at home
